Awesome food! We decided to try here on the recommendation of a chance meeting of my husband and one of the bartenders at an auto parts store.
Tucked around the corner of a strip mall near the DMV in Concord, it is a small sports bar place, with 3 pool tables, small bar, but very cool looking stage for live music. The menu is what I would call "fun Italian food", as opposed to "a nice Italian dinner". We opted for the mozzarella sticks, and we each got 9 inch personal pizza: I got the white pizza with chicken & bacon, and hubby got pepperoni.
It took a little bit of time (the menu does say everything is homemade and may take a bit longer), but SO worth it! Mozzarella sticks had a thin, crispy coating and were perfectly cooked. The marinara sauce was the right blend of tangy with a tough of sweet. Will definitely order again. The bacon chicken white pizza was absolutely amazing - the flavors working so well. And the crust was light, tender and just crispy enough at the edges. And when they brought a side of ranch it was that much better. Hubby's pepperoni pizza was very good also, he loved that the pepperoni had just enough spice to complement the sauce. We can only imagine that their other pizzas are just as good! -

Being from NY I'm also hesitant to get pizza when in the south.... this pizza was amazing!!!! Best pizza I have had in North Carolina!!!!!

Amici's has gone down hill. We ordered 20 wings--10 hot and 10 Cajun. The hot wings were mild and the Cajun were overdone with dry spice. The Celery that accompanied the wings was limp and old. Amici's used to have great fried mushrooms but, they too, lacked flavor. All in all, disappointing.

Have been there many times and haven't had any issues at all.. all the food is delicious and love the keno to burn time.. p.s delivery service was great and fast literally like 20 minutes and pizza was at front door.

This place has great food. The pizza is very good, and the fried mushrooms are the best I've had so far. It's a bar that has live music, pool tables, and really good pizza. The place is kind of a dump. The bathrooms are disgusting. They should expand their beer menu. It's more of a bar than a family restaurant but if you get here before 8, it's fine for dinner or lunch. The service is good. The staff is very friendly.
